About Me
We tend to think of healing as something binary: either we’re broken or we’re healed from that brokenness. But that’s not how healing operates, and it’s almost never how human growth works. More often, healing and growth take place on a continuum, with innumerable points between utter brokenness and total health

Hello! My name is Crystal Tierney.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist working from a trauma theory, somatic & relational framework. I take special interest in working with young adults who have experienced childhood adversity, interpersonal or complex trauma.

Areas of exploration may include developing healthy boundaries, befriending the body, addressing negative self talk, living with heightened feelings, bodily sensations, or numbness. Together we can work with body based and mindful approaches, along with drawing upon your own restorative practices. I am passionate about instilling an anti-oppressive, empowering, collective healing framework into my practice.

I am a curious, open-minded, and radically accepting practitioner, residing on Algonquin Anishinaabe land (Ottawa, Ontario). I am a 300h Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator. To learn more about this click HERE.
